Internet Marketing..Is It For You?
The Question, 'Are you right for Internet marketing', is a very important question. How you answer that is of major importance. For a couple of reasons. If you answer incorrectly, you could be facing some very tough times. Actually no mater how you answer it, you are going to experience a tough go. But if you answer the question wrong, the tough times you go through will seem like they are twice or three times longer than they really turn out to be in reality.
On top of that, a wrong decision based on the wrong answer can be very expensive. Online marketing isn't as cheap and easy as a lot of people want you to believe it is. It's true the cost you'll have to bear is not written in stone, as it all depends on how extensive you attempt to market. You can go extremely cheap for sure, but then your results will reflect your actions. And that will result in your inability to generate any sales on the net.
But the inverse is not a guarantee either. The more money you spend trying to market online will not necessarily translate into a vast number of sales. So you have to find the middle ground somewhere. And that's only if you answer the question correctly. Because the decision to be an online marketer isn't all about money....spending or generating. There is a lot more to it.
Beside the money concerns, there is the work factor. Many people believe they can just throw up a website and buyers will beat their virtual doors down to get their products. Nothing could be farther from the truth. There is work involved in any venture. Even the guys at the top that are making a lot of money, still work a great deal. They are fortunate enough to have more time available for the nicer things in life, such as great vacations and nice homes along with great cars. But they still must keep at it, or one day they will wake up and find that their business has dried up and withered away.
You can also count on putting out a lot of work before you make one thin dime. That can play with your head. Not many people have the fortitude to keep stepping forward in the face of a strong head wind. Then if there a bit of rain to go along with the gale winds, they just fall back and give up. For some lucky souls, they seem to have a gift of doing just the right thing at the right time, and lead turns to gold in their hands. Then there are the people, try as they might, a dollar in their hands turns into 50 cents before you can say Jim Dandy.
You must decide what type of person you are, and what your tolerances and expectations happen to be, before you take the leap. And I haven't even covered the type of person you are likely to meet as you traverse the Internet marketing world. There are many wonderful people. But there just as many charlatans and crooks if not more, that you will come across.
I won't write these in their Latin form, but remember the saying, "Seize the day"...... it would serve you well if you also remembered the saying , "Buyer beware." There's gold in them thar' hills, but only for those that are savvy enough, adventuresome enough and can keep their wits about them. Now you decide. It's time to answer the question. If it is yes, then have at it, and good luck. Just remember one more thing....success is 20% inspiration and 80% perspiration.
