Buying Leads....Waste of Money
Buying leads is a terribly bad way to try and build your business and can cause many people in your organization to leave or quit. Buying leads is totally worthless for most people. You must learn to generate leads if you're hoping for any type of success in your Internet marketing or network marketing business. Buying leads is a complete waste of time and money. For a long time, buying leads was the best way to grow your business. But buying leads is expensive and risky. You will call people who don't know you and you don't know them. buying leads is one of the most popular ways to generate leads for your home based business according to some unscrupulous brokers. Many companies have email lists and phone number lists for people who have expressed their interest in getting information on opportunities. But buying leads is risky at best. The fact is that any leads one buys from a broker have been bought and sold possibly hundreds of times. Purchasing old leads will result in a lot of lost time by you contacting uninterested people. Many times, the older the leads are the better the chance is that the people are not interested anymore or they have signed up through someone else. Purchased leads are a great way to get started talking with people if you want an unpleasant conversation. You may make a few sales from them, but they are not for long term use. On the other side, selling leads is unethical not only to the business owner buying these so-called verified "prospects," but also to the unsuspecting prospect who gets hounded by call after call from MLM business owners trying to recruit them into their business. Selling people’s personal information is a malignant growth in this information revolution we are in. No different than slavery, in that, when someone buys your personal information, they in turn sell it to others. Selling leads is typically another revenue stream for those at the top. Long ago I have perhaps called as many as several thousand people in a 2 year period with little results. The people on the other end of the line, though responsive at times, were certainly not wanting to hear from me about anything at all. Perhaps it is because they are too lazy to prospect. If you find and work your own leads, the only one you pay is yourself. And the people that you get in contact are more responsive and are expecting to hear from you. What a nice surprise after ears of cold calling strangers.
